The aromatics of the Pinot Noir (uniquely, this wine is 100% Pinot Noir) are very intense here. The grapes come from the 1er Cru village of Cumieres, not far from Epernay. This rose is created by a method called saignee, a process where the juice is bled off from the press or tank. Most pink sparklers are based on white grapes with a small bit of red juice being blended to adjust the color and palate. That's why so few rose Champagnes have much character of red grapes.
